Back, with a crocheted blanket!

It's been rather a while since I last posted. Things all got a bit manic for a while, we've had a run of ill health throughout the family, I've had computer troubles to the extent that I came to hate even turning the dratted thing on..... Ach, I could go on but I shan't!!  But I've still been finding time to work on various projects of several kinds.  I hope to post a mini album within the next few days, but for now, just want to show a blanket I've recently finished crocheting for my daughter, who is rather the fan of purple, pink and fairies....

I made it for a single bed, with plenty of overhang - it's shown here spread out on my double bed, so it's definitely plenty big enough!  I plan to update this post in the next couple of days with some close up images of the individual squares (quite possibly in various stages of completion!), but I don't have them on the computer right now.

I took the basic idea for this blanket from knotyournanascrochet.com, but designed all the appliqués myself (which possibly explains why the bottom 'rainbow' fairy looks particularly psycho!).

More updates soon!
